Science Alberta
You know, every once in a while a project comes along that is too much fun to pass up. We had so much fun working with Science Alberta that, well, the pay cheque was just an added bonus. Don’t tell them I said so, but we’d have done it for nothing.

The Science Alberta Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to increasing science literacy and awareness for Albertans of all ages. In 2007 one of the things they wanted to do was create a series of interactive kiosks that would travel across the Province to events such as the Stampede, and that would teach 9-12 year olds in Alberta all about milk and milk production.
That’s where At Large came in. Instead of creating traditional, linear interactive pieces, the At Large team proposed the development of real games, with multiple outcomes, that we knew would appeal to today’s 9-12 year olds, who are more media savvy than ever.
We created two entertaining, educational, slick-looking interactives for Science Alberta which have since traveled across the Province, being shared at libraries, malls, live events and even the Calgary Stampede.
One of the kiosks featured Joe, a dairy farmer who needed help boosting his milk production, and the second kiosk starred our very own Matilda, a dairy cow from New Jersey.
At Large provided complete storyboarding and script-writing services, original illustrations, voice over talent, Flash development and testing. We delivered on budget, and a few days ahead of schedule, and are so proud of our finished product that we can’t resist showing you some of the work here.
